Spring is my favorite season! It always feels like a new chapter and a literal breath of fresh air when the weather warms and leaves start to grow on the trees again. But somehow winter seems to linger and spring always seems to come and go so quickly. Let’s make it a point to e n j o y this spring season. Here’s a simple spring buckets list:

  1. To Market to Market

If you have a local farmer’s or central market make it a point to go this Spring season! Rain or shine, grab your favorite coffee, tea, or fresh juice and browse for seasonal produce and local products.

  2. Plant a (Herb) Garden

What better to encourage you to get outside regularly than to tend to your own home garden? If you have a habit of accidentally killing plants, like me- try an herb garden! I just ordered these cute planters that can sit right on the window sill.

  3. Get Grilling

Don’t wait for summer to fire up the grill. Make it part of your weekly dinner rotation this spring. I like to grill on Sundays whenever possible and make lots of extra protein and veggies for easy meals throughout the week.

  4. Go for a Hike

Take your dog, your kids, or a friend and get out to enjoy the outdoors. Pack snacks and try to find a sunny place to take a rest mid-way.

  5. Clean Up Your Outdoor Space

While this one might not sound like much fun, you’ll be much more likely to get out and enjoy your outdoor space if it is clean and inviting! Whether a patio, porch, or stoop- get it ready to enjoy during the warmer months.

  6. Dine Al Fresco

Whether at your favorite restaurant or a new spot, go grab a meal outside.

  7. Just Add Flowers

Nothing says spring quite like flowers. Grab some when you visit the market or get some faux florals (like these, these, or these) that will last for years to come.

  8. Attend a Sports Game

Even if you’re not a “sports person” live games can be so much fun. Look up who’s playing when in your area this season, grabs some tickets and put it on your calendar now.

  9. Picnic

Go all out and pack your favorite charcuterie and wine or stop by your local deli to pick up some sandwiches on the way. Head somewhere to people watch or to take in the scenery. Don’t forget a big blanket.
