When your hormones are in sync, life feels good. You generally sleep well, your skin glows, your mood is stable, and your period comes and goes without throwing your whole month off. But when they're even slightly “off”? Cue the not-so-fun stuff.

Feeling tired all the time, even after a full night’s sleep
PMS symptoms that feel extreme or cycles that are irregular
Mood swings, anxiety, or feeling more emotionally reactive than usual

Here are a few foundational shifts that can seriously move the needle for your hormone health:
1. Eat in Sync with Your Cycle
Your hormones shift throughout your cycle—ideally your diet and lifestyle should too.
Follicular Phase: Fresh and light is the vibe—think lean proteins, veggies, and whole grains to fuel your rising energy.
Ovulatory Phase: Support hormone balance with anti-inflammatory foods like berries, leafy greens, and healthy fats.
Luteal Phase: Cravings kicking in? Focus on complex carbs, magnesium-rich snacks, and staying hydrated to keep mood and energy steady.
Menstrual Phase: Go for warm, comforting foods like soups, stews, and iron-rich veggies to help replenish and restore energy.
2. Balance Your Blood Sugar
This is a big one. Blood sugar spikes and crashes can wreak havoc on your hormones. Aim for meals that include protein, healthy fats, and fiber. Try not to skip meals, and ditch the caffeine-for-breakfast routine (your adrenals will thank you).
3. Ditch Endocrine Disruptors
Many everyday items—like plastic containers, scented candles, conventional makeup, and synthetic skincare—contain chemicals that mess with your hormones. Start swapping in cleaner alternatives when you need to replace an item in your routine.
